A method and dissecting device are disclosed for treating a stenotic vessel. The method including inserting a directional guide member of a dissecting device into a subintimal space from a blood vessel sliding a tubular cutting member on the directional guide member through the subintimal space and cutting a stenotic region with the tubular cutting member as the cutting member slides towards a distal end of the directional guide member.
