A trocar sleeve comprising:a. a trocar housing andb. a trocar cannula extending from the trocar housingwherein the trocar cannula and the trocar housing are mechanically interfitted to form the trocar sleeve.At least a portion of the trocar cannula may sit within a second housing member base of a second housing member with a second housing member cover sitting over the trocar cannula for securing the at least a portion of the trocar cannula within the second housing member base.The trocar housing may be provided with crush ribs along the internal surface for centering the trocar cannular within the trocar housing.
