PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound exhibiting anti-tubercle bacillus activity, a method for producing the same and a microorganism used therefor.
SOLUTION: The new FKI-4905 substance is a compound represented by formula [I]. The substance is one obtained from a culture solution of a Mortierella alpina FKI-4905 strain newly separated from soil and exhibits excellent anti-tubercle bacillus activity. Therefore, the substance is useful as an antituberculous agent.
