The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an orthodontic device (10), comprising the following steps: producing a first digitized image of teeth (12, 14) of a patient in a desired position； then producing a second digitized image of an orthodontic arch adapted to move or maintain the patient's teeth in said position； then realization of an orthodontic arch (16) in a solid material, from said second digitized image. The step of producing the second digitized image comprises cutting up said image into a plurality of substantially planar slices adjacent to each other； and the step for producing the orthodontic arch (16) is carried out by additive manufacturing, the solid material being deposited in the form of successive layers, each layer corresponding to a slice of the second digitized image.
