PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for function recovery training for paralysis equipped with a muscle contraction electric stimulation mechanism capable of creating a state in which muscle contraction occurs easily and improving a rehabilitation training effect in combination with percutaneous electric stimulation, and a method for function recovery training for paralysis.SOLUTION: As a percutaneous muscle electric stimulation value to be applied to a patient T, a detection part 30 detects a percutaneous muscle electric stimulation value equivalent to an electric potential of 80% of a myoelectric potential in a state that the muscle stiffens, or a percutaneous muscle electric stimulation value equivalent to an electric potential of 90% of a myoelectric potential in a state that movement of a joint starts by muscle contraction.
