THE PRESENT INVENTION PROVIDES A FUNGICIDAL COMPOSITION USEFUL AS AN AGRICULTURAL AND HORTICULTURAL FUNGICIDE HAVING REMARKABLY IMPROVED CONTROLLING EFFECTS AGAINST PLANT DISEASES, AND A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PLANT DISEASES USING THE COMPOSITION. A FUNGICIDAL COMPOSITION COMPRISING, AS ACTIVE INGREDIENTS, (A) 3-(2,3,4- TRIMETHOXY-6-METHYLBENZOYL)-5-CHLORO-2-METHOXY-4-METHYLPYRIDINE OR ITS SALT AND (B) AT LEAST ONE FUNGICIDE SELECTED FROM THE GROUP CONSISTING OF BIXAFEN, FLUXAPYTOXAD, PENFLUFEN, ISOPYRAZAM, FLUOPYRAM, AMETOCTRADIN, FENPYRAZARNINE AND SEDAXANE, AND A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PLANT DISEASES, WHICH COMPRISES APPLYING THE FUNGICIDAL COMPOSITION TO PLANTS.
