PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair with a backward driving handle which allows a care giver pushing the wheelchair to push it while the care giver faces a person to be cared sitting on the wheelchair, prevents the person to be cared from being seen from the direction of movement, allows the person to be cared to grip the handle by hand and stabilize the body, or is available as a forward armrest.SOLUTION: A wheelchair body 1 has a pair of right and left advancing handles 2. A hollow pipe body 51 for engagement and joining is integrally welded and joined to the outside which is approximate to bending parts 8 of leg part frames 4 on both sides extended to footrests 3, and both end engaging parts 53 of an inverted U-shaped backward driving handle 52 are engaged with the hollow pipe body 51 and fixed across the leg part frames 4 on both sides. The handle thus attached becomes the backward driving handle.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】 車椅子に乗る被介護者と、これを押す介護者が正対した状態にして押して進行でき、被介護者の姿が進行方向前方から見えないようにすることができ、また、乗っている被介護者が手で掴んで体の安定を図ったり、前方肘掛けとして使用できる後方推進用ハンドル付き車椅子を提供する。【解決手段】 車椅子車体1には左右一対の前進用ハンドル2があるが、両フットレスト3に伸びる両サイドの脚部フレーム4の屈折部8に近接する外側に、嵌合接合する中空管体51を一体に容着接合し、この両サイドの脚部フレーム4を跨ぐ形で逆U形の後方推進用ハンドル52の両端嵌合部53を、前記中空管体51に嵌め込み固定する。このような手段で取り付けられたハンドルが後方推進用ハンドルとなる。【選択図】図1
