PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bush cutter capable of suitably holding a first shaft by a first pipe while securing the amount of extension and contraction.SOLUTION: The bush cutter is provided by including a shaft 4 receiving a power transmitted from a motor and also transmitting the power to a mounting part for mounting a cutting blade, a pipe 3 for holding the shaft 4 and a plurality of first bearings 51 holding the shaft 4 in the pipe 3 to be capable of rotating, capable of moving relatively to the pipe 3 and shaft 4 in the axial direction of the pipe 3 and arranged in the pipe 3 by taking intervals in the axial direction, and constituting the pipe 3 and shaft 4 as freely extending and contracting in the axial direction and also constituting the plurality of first bearings 51 to be capable of changing the intervals in accordance with the extension and contraction of the first pipe 3 and shaft 4.
