PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify the direction of a heart image of a fetus in volume data obtained by transmission/reception of ultrasonic waves.SOLUTION: An adjustment part 62 performs processing to regulate a posture of volume data 40 by using template data 64 so that a direction and size of a temporary four-chamber cross-sectional image 92a included in a temporary four-chamber cross section 92 become a regular direction and size. A representative cross-section detection part 66 as representative cross-section search means searches for a real four-chamber cross section near the temporary four-chamber cross section 94. A cardiac apex direction included in the four-chamber cross section thus identified shows a cardiac apex direction of a heart stereoscopic image in adjusted volume data 96. A feature point/size detection part 68 detects two feature points showing an end part of the heart stereoscopic image in a rz direction orthogonal to the four-chamber cross section. It is possible to identify a vertical direction (head side stomach side) of the heart stereoscopic image on the basis of a section length from one end part of the heart stereoscopic image to the four-chamber cross section and a section length from the other end part of the heart stereoscopic image to the four-chamber cross section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT【課題】超音波の送受波により得られたボリュームデータにおいて、胎児の心臓像の向きを特定する。【解決手段】調整部62は、仮四腔断面92に含まれる仮四腔断面像92aの向き及びサイズが規定の向き及びサイズとなるように、テンプレートデータ64を用いて、ボリュームデータ40の姿勢を規定する処理を行う。代表断面探索手段としての代表断面検出部66は、仮四腔断面94近傍において真の四腔断面を探索する。このように特定された四腔断面に含まれる四腔断面像の心尖方向が、調整後ボリュームデータ96における心臓立体像の心尖方向を示す。特徴点・サイズ検出部68は、四腔断面に直交するrz方向における心臓立体像の端部を示す2つの特徴点を検出する。そして、心臓立体像の一方の端部から四腔断面までの区間長と、心臓立体像の他方の端部から四腔断面までの区間長に基づいて、心臓立体像の上下方向(頭側胃側)を特定することができる。【選択図】図5
