There is provided herein, according to an embodiment, a plasma thread application of dielectric barrier discharge, which incorporates the effectiveness of plasma in sterilization and the flexibility of thread like structure and has the malleability to be formed into any apparel design. The design of one embodiment uses a dielectric coated/insulated wire in the range of 30 to 40 awg based on the application in question. It can be used as sutures or can be woven into a material for countless bandage-like applications. The ready availability of medically approved dielectric materials is conducive to the manufacture of the same.La présente invention concerne, selon un mode de réalisation, une application de fil plasma à décharge sur barrière diélectrique, qui combine l'efficacité du plasma en termes de stérilisation et la flexibilité d'une structure de type fil, et possède la malléabilité nécessaire pour être façonné en n'importe quel modèle de vêtement. La conception d'un mode de réalisation utilise un fil diélectrique revêtu/isolé dans la plage de 30 à 40 awg sur la base de l'application en question. Le fil peut être utilisé en tant que fil de suture ou peut être tissé pour donner un matériau destiné à d'innombrables applications de type bandage. La disponibilité des matériaux diélectriques médicalement approuvés est favorable à la fabrication dudit fil.
