AT LEAST ONE DRIVE MOTOR (44, 146) CONTROLLED BY A CONTROL UNIT (54), AND IN THE FORM OF A ROTATING ELECTRIC MOTOR, DRIVES THE RADIAL FAN (12) AND THE CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATOR (14). A FAN DRIVE MOTOR (44) AND A SEPARATOR DRIVE MOTOR (146) ARE ARRANGED, UNCOUPLED IN TERMS OF ROTATION, ONE BEHIND THE OTHER ON A COMMON SHAFT (16) FIXED TO THE HOUSING. THE RESPECTIVE STATORS (42, 150) ARE SUPPORTED BY THE COMMON SHAFT (16). THE ROTATING PARTS (74, 76) OF THE RADIAL FAN (12) ARE FIXEDLY CONNECTED TO THE ROTOR (56) OF THE FAN DRIVE MOTOR (44), AND THE ROTATING PARTS (198, 200, 202) OF THE CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATOR (14) ARE FIXEDLY CONNECTED TO THE ROTOR (148) OF THE SEPARATOR DRIVE MOTOR (146) AND ARE MOUNTED SO AS TO ROTATE COAXIALLY WITH RESPECT TO THE SHAFT (16) FIXED TO THE HOUSING.
