PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container sterilization apparatus that efficiently heats and sterilizes containers.
SOLUTION: The container sterilization apparatus 2 includes: a conveyor 4 for conveying containers 1 a halogen lamp 34, as a light emitting means, for heating and sterilizing the containers 1 by emitting sterilizing light L and a condensing means 35 for condensing sterilizing light L emitted by the halogen lamp 34. The condensing means is provided with a reflecting portion 41b for reflecting sterilizing light L. Sterilizing light L is transmitted through the wall of each container 1 and condensed in the inner space of the same by the reflecting portion 41b. Thereby, the wall of each container 1, which is on the side of the halogen lamp 34, and the opposite wall are heated and sterilized.
