The present invention relates to lactose-reduced milk-related products, and particularly such products having a long shelf-life. Additionally, the invention relates to a method of producing such products. The lactose-reduced milk products are obtained by subjecting a milk to ultrafiltration and using the ultrafiltration retentate to obtain a lactose-reduced milk-related feed, which is further subjected to a high temperature treatment, wherein it is heated to a temperature in the range of 140-180 degrees C, kept in that temperature range for at most 200 msec, and finally cooled and packed.
