From the vestibular and oral sides of the prosthesis, 2–3 mm wide grooves are cut out, the length of which follows the boundaries of the future defect. From the inside of the prosthesis, along the borders of the future defect, a cavity 3–4 mm deep is cut out. Prosthesis is suited to the plaster model. Through the sawn grooves, a surgical polypropylene mesh is drawn. It should be placed on a plaster alveolar crest of a model with a slight tension and compress on the fabric, cut off excess material, and fill the grooves with a rapidly hardening plastic. After polymerization of plastic, the prosthesis is ground and polished. After the surgery, the cavity under the mesh is filled with a medicinal substance.
