Disclosed are a parameter identifying method with respect to characteristics of a muscle, a walking assist method using the same, and devices for performing the same. According to an embodiment, the parameter identifying method with respect to characteristics of a muscle comprises the following steps of: estimating first torque of a joint based on an EMG signal； estimating second torque of the joint based on motion data； and identifying a parameter with respect to characteristics of a muscle related to the joint based on the first torque and the second torque.근육의 특성에 대한 파라미터 식별 방법, 이를 이용한 보행 보조 방법, 및 이를 수행하는 장치들이 개시된다. 일 실시예에 따른 근육의 특성에 대한 파라미터 식별 방법은 EMG 신호에 기초하여 관절의 제1 토크를 추정하는 단계와, 모션 데이터에 기초하여 상기 관절의 제2 토크를 추정하는 단계와, 상기 제1 토크와 상기 제2 토크에 기초하여 상기 관절에 연관된 근육의 특성에 대한 파라미터를 식별하는 단계를 포함한다.
