The invention discloses an external detecting device, is adapted to detect the skin of the user by a processing device, includes an IO interface, multiple measuring electrodes, an oscillation signal generating module, and a processing module. The IO interface is used to electrically connect to the processing device. The oscillation signal generating module is used to generate an oscillation signal, and the oscillation signal is exerted to the skin by the measuring electrodes. When the skin is touched by the measuring electrodes, the oscillation signal generating module generates a current signal according to the variation range of the oscillation signal. The processing module is used to calculate a skin information according to the current signal and a physiological parameter, the skin information is at least one of the water content, the oil content, and the softness.
