The present invention provides a chlorine dioxide release agent, which has a gel like structure and comprises: a mixed solution of chlorite, ion capturing agent, and activating agent and a water absorbent body which absorbs the mixed solution. The present invention uses chlorite and the activating agent to react with each other to generate chlorine dioxide and ions, and uses the ion capturing agent to reduce the concentration of the ions so as to stably generate chlorine dioxide. Further, using the water absorbent body to absorb the mixed solution allows chlorine dioxide to be absorbed in the water absorbent body to delay release of chlorine dioxide into the atmosphere so that chlorine dioxide in the atmosphere can long maintain at a e concentration level sufficiently effective for sterilization, disinfection, and deodorization, thereby to effect protection and prevent pathogens, such as bacteria, viruses, and moulds, from invading into the atmosphere without damaging creatures of human and animals in the atmosphere.本發明之二氧化氯釋放劑,係為一凝膠狀結構且包括:混合液,係包括亞氯酸鹽、離子抓取劑以及活化劑;以及吸水體,係吸附有該混合液。本發明利用該亞氯酸鹽以及該活化劑反應生成二氧化氯以及離子,透過該離子抓取劑降低該離子的濃度,以穩定地產生該二氧化氯;另外,利用該吸水體吸附該混合液,使得該二氧化氯得以被吸附於該吸水體中,以延緩該二氧化氯釋放至一空氣內,使得該空氣中的二氧化氯可長時間地維持於具備消毒、殺菌、除臭的有效濃度範圍內,形成保護,防止細菌、病毒、黴菌等病原體入侵至該空氣內且不傷害該空氣中的人畜等生物。
