The present invention relates to a composition for producing a dental paste, wherein the composition comprises (i) 0.01 to 0.13 w/v% NaCl and (ii) 0.01 to 1.04 w/v% KCI in water. The present invention also relates to a dental paste comprising the composition and a dental powder. The present invention further relates to use of the composition or dental paste for producing a dental prosthesis or an opaquer.
