PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and high-precision water level sensor capable of being attached without undermining a liquidtight state of a storage tank and capable of continuously detecting a liquid level of fluid stored in the storage tank.SOLUTION: A water level sensor 100 of the invention includes: a liquid contact detection part 103 for detecting the contact with liquid a holding part 104 disposed in a storage tank 4 for storing liquid for holding the liquid contact detection part 103 and a suction part 105 disposed so as to move to the outer wall surface 4D of the storage tank 4 so that the suction part 105 and the holding part 104 suction each other in a non-contact manner, and the suction part 105 presses the holding part 104 against the inner wall surface 4c of the storage tank 4.
