PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid sterilization device efficiently sterilizing liquid, and a floating oil separator using the same.SOLUTION: Floating oil in a coolant tank for a machine tool is charged to a separation tank 21, and a coolant after the remove of the oil floated-up by the separation tank 21 is exposed by an ozone aeration tank 23. The ozone exposure tank 23 is insertion-arranged with a uzon tube jacket 7 involving a low mercury lamp 8 radiating ultraviolet light, and oxygen included in the air fed into the uzon tube jacket 7 is ozonized by ultraviolet light and is released into a foam shape from the lower part of the ozone exposure tank 23. The ultraviolet light radiated from the low mercury lamp 8 passes through the uzon tube jacket 7 and is irradiated to the coolant in the ozone aeration tank 23. The coolant is sterilized by the exposure of the ozone and ultraviolet light irradiation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2【課題】液体を効率よく殺菌する液体殺菌装置、および、それを用いた浮上油分離装置を提供する。【解決手段】工作機械用のクーラントタンク内の浮上油を分離槽２１に投入し、分離槽２１で浮上した油を除去した後のクーラントをオゾン気曝槽２３で曝気する。オゾン気曝槽２３には、紫外線を放射する低水銀ランプ８を内蔵するユーゾン管ジャケット７が挿入配置されており、ユーゾン管ジャケット７内に送り込まれたエアーに含まれている酸素が紫外線によりオゾン化されてオゾン気曝槽２３の下部から泡状に放出される。低水銀ランプ８から放射された紫外線がユーゾン管ジャケット７を透過してオゾン気曝槽２３内のクーラントに照射される。オゾンでの曝気と紫外線照射とによりクーラントが殺菌される。【選択図】図２
