PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants-type disposable diaper excellent in air permeability, and capable of preventing leakage of excretion liquid while effectively preventing stuffiness and skin troubles.SOLUTION: Girth elastic members 5 are intermittently arranged in a vertical direction X in a state of being expanded in a transverse direction Y, between an outer layer sheet 31 and an inner layer sheet 32 in an expanding part having elasticity in the transverse direction Y in an exterior body 3, and an exterior body contraction region 35 is formed. On the skin facing surface side of the exterior body contraction region 35, a ridge part 36 and a groove part 37 extending in the vertical direction X are alternately arranged in the transverse direction X. In the groove part 37 in an outward position from a vertical direction end part of an absorber 23 in the exterior body contraction region 35, sheets 31 and 32 have through holes 33.
