PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of reducing skin wetting by exhibiting a proper absorption rate even when a liquid is repeatedly supplied under pressure.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 has an absorbent body 20 which includes a front-side sheet 21, a back-side sheet, and an absorbent core 22 arranged between the front-side sheet 21 and the back-side sheet. In the absorbent core 22, a through-hole 230 elongated in a longitudinal direction Y is provided in the width-direction-X central part of the absorbent body, and a plurality of lateral grooves 214d elongated in the width direction X of the absorbent body from the through-hole 230 are provided. In each of the lateral grooves 214d, an absorptive layer exists at least on the skin abutting surface side of an internal space of the groove.
