PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing method and a deodorizing apparatus, capable of inexpensively deodorizing a gas to be treated by efficiently displaying an adsorbing performance and an ion exchanging performance by zeolite.
SOLUTION: The deodorizing apparatus has a vessel 2 containing a zeolitized foam glass 1, a water sprayer 3 for spraying water from upwards the zeolitized foam glass 1, a tank 4 for collecting water sprayed, a pump 5 for supplying water in the tank 4 to the water-sprayer, and a blower 6 for blowing the gas to be treated into the vessel 2. Water, sprayed from the water sprayer 3 on the zeolitized foam glass 1, takes in the gas to be treated, contacts with the zeolitized foam glass 1 to enter into gaps and contacts with the zeolite of its surface and inner surfaces of the gaps. Therefore, an odor, containing a component such as NH
3 in the gas to be treated took into water, is removed by the adsorbing performance and the ion exchanging performance of the zeolite.COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
