PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of suitably monitoring movement or the like of a test subject.SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes: a static magnetic field generation means generating a uniform static field in a photographic space disposed with the test subject a gradient magnetic field generation means generating a gradient magnetic field in a state that the gradient magnetic field is superposed on the static magnetic field a high frequency coil generating a high frequency magnetic field to the test subject a detection means detecting an NMR signal generated from the test subject and an imaging means imaging the detected signal.
