PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) apparatus suitable for use when one imaging is interrupted halfway and, subsequently, at least one or more times of imaging is planned and performed again.SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes: a magnetostatic field generation means for generating a uniform magnetostatic field in a space with a subject stored therein a gradient magnetic field generation means for generating a gradient magnetic field by overlapping with the magnetostatic field a high frequency magnetic field generation means for generating a high frequency magnetic field for irradiation toward the subject a detection means for detecting an NMR signal to be generated from the subject an imaging means for imaging a detected signal and a control part for controlling the gradient magnetic field generation means, the high frequency magnetic field generation means, the detection means, and the imaging means. The control part includes a planning part for planning multiple times of imaging.
