An objective of the present invention is to provide a system for preventing dental plaque and gingivitis which can provide an effective oral care method. According to embodiments of the present invention, the system for preventing dental plaque and gingivitis comprises: a photographing device to photograph a tooth surface of a patient coated with a tooth surface colorant； a computing device having a tooth condition detection program installed therein, wherein the tooth condition detection program includes a dental plaque detection unit to receive a photographed image from the photographing device to detect dental plaque, and a dental plaque display unit to display dental plaque on the tooth surface from a detection result of the dental plaque detection unit to generate a dental plaque display image； and a terminal installed with an oral care program including a tooth surface condition display unit to display the dental plaque display image received from the computing device.본 발명의 실시예에 따른 치면세균막 및 치은염 예방 시스템은 치면착색제가 도포된 환자의 치면을 촬영하는 촬영장치； 상기 촬영장치로부터의 촬영 영상을 수신하여 치면세균막을 검출하는 치면세균막검출부와 상기 치면세균막검출부의 검출 결과로부터 상기 치면 상에 치면세균막을 표시하여 치면세균막 표시 영상을 생성하는 치면세균막표시부를 구비한 치아상태검출프로그램이 설치된 컴퓨팅 장치； 및 상기 컴퓨팅 장치로부터 수신한 상기 치면세균막 표시 영상을 표시하는 치면상태표시부를 구비한 치아관리프로그램이 설치된 단말기；를 포함하는 치면세균막 및 치은염 예방 시스템을 제공할 수 있다.
