The foamable compositions contain thyme oil as the sole or principal antimicrobial agent. The foamable compositions are topically applied and may be used as a preventative and/or a therapeutic. The antimicrobial foamable compositions are highly efficacious against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
