The present invention provides a method of treating a subject suffering from renal cancer, wherein the method specifically binds to the subject in a therapeutically effective amount: (a) a programmed cell death (PD-1) receptor； -1 comprising an anti-cancer agent that is an antibody or antigen-binding portion thereof that inhibits activity； and (b) other anti-cancer agents. The other anticancer agent can be an anti-angiogenic tyrosine kinase inhibitor or an anti-cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen-4 (CTLA-4) antibody.
