PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjustable anchoring cannula sleeve which allows an anchoring device for sliding along the length of a trocar, and to allow a surgeon for setting the length of the trocar inside or the outside of a patient.SOLUTION: An anchoring apparatus for use with an access sleeve 104 is disclosed. The access sleeve 104 is adapted for passage through tissue and having a lumen permitting introduction of an instrument through the sleeve. The access sleeve 104 includes a collar 108 and an inflatable membrane 110. The collar 108 is arranged around the access sleeve 104 and is adapted to move with respect to the access sleeve 104.
