The present invention provides an apparatus and method for the monitoring of ablation. An aspect of the present invention proposes an apparatus for the monitoring of ablation,comprising an ultrasound transducer for performing a B-scan imaging for a region being treated for ablation and the ultrasound transducer is also configured for breaking down air bubbles by ultrasound in the region of ablation and a controller (120) that is configured to control the ultrasound transducer (110) to break down the air bubbles within a predetermined period during the ablation and to enable the ultrasound transducer (110) to perform the B-scan imaging for the region of ablation after the predetermined period. Thus, the quality of the ultrasound images is greatly improved. Moreover, the apparatus for the monitoring of ablation is cost-effective, because no extra hardware is needed.La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé de surveillance dune ablation. Un aspect de la présente invention concerne un appareil pour la surveillance de lablation, ledit appareil comprenant un transducteur ultrasonore pour réaliser une imagerie B-scan dune région traitée pour une ablation et le transducteur ultrasonore est également configuré pour décomposer les bulles dair par ultrasons dans la région dablation et un organe de commande (120) qui est configuré pour amener le transducteur ultrasonore (110) à décomposer les bulles dair au cours dune durée prédéterminée durant lablation pour permettre au transducteur ultrasonore (110) de réaliser limagerie B-scan pour la région dablation après la durée prédéterminée. La qualité des images ultrasonores est ainsi considérablement améliorée. Lappareil de surveillance dune ablation est également rentable étant donné quaucun équipement supplémentaire nest nécessaire.
