PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the efficient production of the cutting seedling of a plant belonging to the genus Eucalyptus by selecting and obtaining cutting scions having high rooting capacity.SOLUTION: The parent tree treated with a plant growth regulator is prepared, and the scions collected therefrom, having a cross section of the scions of not less than 5.6 mm2 and not more than 23.0 mm2, and a wood part ratio of the same of not less than 0.10 and not more than 0.45, can be utilized.
