The present invention relates to a functional cosmetic composition using a Cordyceps militaris extract. More specifically, the composition contains the Cordyceps militaris extract with respect to 1-10 wt% of the total weight of the composition. The Cordyceps militaris extract is produced by the following steps: pulverizing Cordyceps militaris into particles having size of 0.5-3 mm and supercritical extracting the pulverized particles by means of supercritical carbon dioxide under pressure ranging from 300 to 350 bar at 50-70 °C. According to the present invention, the Cordyceps militaris extract exhibits effects of keeping skin of a user healthy via moisturization, anti-inflammatory action, elasticity improvement, and wrinkle amelioration.
