Disclosed is a plant disease controlling composition comprising, as active ingredients: A pyrazolonyl-containing compound of formula (I), and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a compound selected from the group consisting of a compound formula IIa and IIb or their agrochemically acceptable salts. Compounds of formula IIa and IIb appear to be related to the strobilurin class of pesticides. Also disclosed is a method for controlling a plant disease comprising applying the composition to plants, seeds or cropland.
