The present invention aims to provide a carrier for blood componentadsorption, which can remove leukocytes including all of granulocytes,monocytes andlymphocytes by adsorption while suppressing occurrence of pressure loss duringbloodcirculation, which carrier can also remove inflammatory cytokines byadsorption at the sametime. The present invention provides a carrier for blood component adsorptioncomprising awater-insoluble carrier composed of a fiber or particle, the water-insolublecarrier having asurface to which a functional group(s) is/are introduced, the functionalgroup(s) containing anacidic functional group selected from the group consisting of the sulfategroup, sulfite groupand sulfonate group； and containing an amino group； the fiber having a fiberdiameter of, orthe particle having a particle diameter of, 0.5 to 20 µm, wherein saidwater-insoluble carrierhas an amount of negative charge of 1.0 x 10 -4 to 1.5 x 10 -3 eq/g.
