PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time and labor required for a surgery, in the surgery of installing an artificial hip joint.SOLUTION: A surgical instrument 1 includes a stem broach 2, a neck trial 3, a ball trial 4. A neck trial body 21 supports a lock member 22 in a swingable manner around a spindle 48. When the fitting part 23 of the neck trial body 21 is inserted to the fitting hole part 10 of the stem broach 2, the second engaging part 52 of the lock member 22 is engaged with the first engaging part 18 of the fitting hole part 10.
