A method for treating various types of cancer/tumor by administering the combination of SDF-1 antagonist, in particular, that specifically binds to human CXCR4, and another chemotherapeutic agent, or a radiation therapy, during an embolization therapy. Such combination therapies exhibit synergistic effects compared to the treatment with either agent alone. Thus, the method is particularly beneficial for cancer patients who have low tolerance to the side effects caused by high dosages required for the treatment by either agent alone.La présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement de divers types de cancer/tumeur par l'administration de la combinaison d'un antagoniste de SDF -1, en particulier, qui se lie spécifiquement à CXCR4 humain, et d'un autre agent chimiothérapeutique, ou d'une radiothérapie, au cours d'une thérapie d'embolisation. Ces polythérapies présentent des effets synergiques comparativement au traitement par l'un ou l'autre agent seul.
