#$%^&*AU2017201625B220180927.pdf#####STORAGE AND MIXING SYSTEM FOR PASTY CEMENT COMPONENTS AND METHOD THEREFOR ABSTRACT The objects of the invention are achieved by a storage and mixing system for pasty twocomponent polymethyl methacrylate bone cements, the storage and mixing system comprising a tubular cartridge (1) with a cylindrical interior, a cartridge head (7) that closes one end of the tubular cartridge (1), a partition wall (2) axially disposed in the cylindrical interior of the cartridge (1), wherein said partition wall (2) is connected to the circumferential surface of the cylindrical interior of the cartridge (1) and wherein the partition wall (2) divides the cylindrical interior of the cartridge (1) delimited by the cartridge head (7) into two spatially separate cavities (3, 4), wherein the first cavity (3) includes a first pasty cement component and the separate second cavity (4) includes a second pasty cement component, two delivery plungers (5, 6) disposed movably in the axial direction in the two cavities (3, 4) of the cartridge (1), wherein said delivery plungers (5, 6) close the two cavities (3, 4) on the side of the cavities (3, 4) opposite the cartridge head (7) are connected via a connecting means (18), wherein a wedge (22) or cone (22) having a cutting edge (20) on the front side of the wedge (22) or cone (22) facing the cartridge head (7) is disposed on the connecting means (18), such that said cutting edge (20) cuts open the partition wall (2) when the delivery pistons (5, 6) are advanced towards the cartridge head (7) in the cavities (3, 4) and the wedge (22) or cone (22) presses the cut open parts of the partition wall (2) towards the inner wall of the cartridge (1).
