PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic imaging apparatus which can acquire images with a high degree of accuracy by reducing variations of receiving signals between transmissions in aperture synthesis processing.SOLUTION: A reception beam former 108 for performing aperture synthesis processing includes: a delay addition phasing part 204 for phasing by delaying and adding a receiving signal for each transmission for each of one or more reception focuses a beam memory 206 for storing delay phasing data for each of the reception focuses by the delay addition phasing part 204 and an in-between-transmissions synthesis part 205 which reads and synthesizes the delay phasing data for the same reception focuses out of the delay phasing data for each transmission that is stored in the beam memory.
