PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing colored ophthalmic lens capable of readily and making a dye immerse in a lens substrate, without fail, without hardly producing deposits or residues of the dye on the lens surface for an ophthalmic lens in dry state.
SOLUTION: The method for producing colored ophthalmic lens that uses a dyeing liquid containing dye [A] and medium [B] includes a contacting process of making the surface of the ophthalmic lens in the dry state contact the dyeing liquid and prior to contacting process and/or simultaneously with the contacting process, includes a heat-applying process of applying heat to the ophthalmic lens. The method for producing colored ophthalmic lens, preferably further, includes the heat-applying process, after the contacting process, as well.
