The present invention provides a sugar-free liquid edible composition wherein the sugar-free liquid edible composition is a water-in-oil emulsion comprising i) a sugar polyol comprising xylitol, ii) glycerin, and iii) an emulsifier wherein the emulsifier is a glycerin based emulsifier, a polyglycerol based emulsifier, or a combination thereof; wherein the weight ratio of sugar polyol : glycerin is 1 : 1 to 4 : 1.
