PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic substance container capable of effectively keeping a desired aroma action by volatilization of a volatile component without causing substantial reduction of a volatilization amount even when a gel-like aromatic substance contracts and is unevenly distributed at a bottom part.
SOLUTION: The aromatic substance container 10 includes a box-shaped container body 11 housing the gel-like aromatic substance 12 which contracts while separating moisture while volatilizing the volatile component. The container body 11 includes the bottom part 13, a peripheral wall part 14 erected from the peripheral edge part 13a of the bottom part 13, and a top surface part 16 where a volatilization opening 15 is formed. The bottom part 13 has a two-stage structure to which a lower stage bottom part 18 is provided while interposing a shoulder part 17 between that and the peripheral edge part 13a. Also, on the shoulder part 17, a bottom part volatilization opening formation part 19 is provided in the state of being closed by a closure opening means 20 before use.
