The present invention relates to: a polymer conjugate for photodynamic treatment using polyethylene glycol and a photosensitizer based on polysaccharides; and a use thereof, wherein the polymer conjugate is composed in which an amine group introduced into starch and a hydrophobic photosensitizer having a -COOH group are combined by amination of starch, and an -OH group and poly-ethyleneglycol having a -COOH group at the end are combined, thereby suppressing an auto-quenching effect of the photosensitizer and increasing the occurrence of singlet oxygen, so that it is possible for tumor cell death. Therefore, the polymer conjugate has an effect of being able to be usefully used for photodynamic therapy.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020본 발명은 다당류를 기반으로 폴리에틸렌글리콜 및 광감작제를 이용한 광역학 치료용 고분자 접합체 및 이의 용도에 관한 것으로, 전분(Starch)을 아민화 시켜 전분에 도입된 아민기와 -COOH기를 갖는 소수성 광감작제가 결합되고, 전분의 -OH기와 말단에 -COOH기를 가진 폴리에틸렌글리콜(poly-ethyleneglycol)이 결합되어 구성됨으로써 광감작제의 오토-퀀칭(auto-quenching) 효과를 억제시키고, 일항 산소 발생을 증가시켜 종양 세포의 사멸이 가능하여 광역학 치료에 유용하게 이용될 수 있는 효과가 있다.
