A device 10 for simulating dispensing medication into a nasal passage, device 10 comprising: a body 12; a nozzle 14 for nasal insertion; and an activation mechanism 16 movable from a start position seen in Fig.4 to a dispensed position seen in Fig.5. Activation-mechanism 16 comprises a button 18 in telescopic relationship with body 12, button 18 being biased to the start position by a biasing mechanism 24. Activation-mechanism 16 further comprises an engaging member 50 that engages an activation profile 26 when moving from start to dispensed positions. In the dispensed position, engaging member 50 and activation profile 26 engagingly latch prevents activation mechanism 16 moving back to the start position. Activation mechanism 16 is returned from the dispensed position back to the start position through manual rotation of the nozzle 14 relative to the body 12, which rotates the engagement member 50 to a disengaged position 56,Fig.3. Preferably device 10 comprises a damping mechanism 20 to resist movement of activation mechanism 16. Another device for simulating the dispensing of medication into a nasal passage comprising: a body that defines an extending nozzle portion; an activation mechanism movable from start to dispensed positions that’s biased to the start position.
