PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for rearing cows for breeding, capable of improving reproductive performance of cows for breeding through shortening of estrus regression days and a delivery interval date, improvement of a conception rate and increase of a weight of calf at birth.
SOLUTION: This method for rearing the cows for breeding comprises feeding per head a day with 20-200g at a conversion of fatty acid, of feed which has a melting point of -60 to 40°C and an iodine number in a range of 30-470, and contains a metallic salt of a 12-24C fatty acid having 2-6 double bonds in a molecule, at least for an interval from 30 days before delivery to conception by artificial insemination after delivery.
