PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oral alleviating agent against ultraviolet damage or a skin state improving agent capable of increasing resistivity against ultraviolet radiation through daily ingestion, repressing pigmentation or inflammation due to ultraviolet radiation, and improving facial skin color, dullness, stickiness, and oiliness.SOLUTION: This invention relates to an orally ingestible alleviating agent or a skin state improving agent against ultraviolet skin damage, the agent including Lactobacillus gasseri as an active ingredient, and a skin-intended beverage/food product or a skin-intended pharmaceutical including the alleviating agent or a skin state improving agent against ultraviolet skin damage.
