PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a burden of an operator by reducing the number of operation procedures and the number of surgical instruments compared with a trocar insertion technique using an inner tube.SOLUTION: A trocar 1 includes a pipe part 11 for inserting a medical device into a body, and a head part 12 continuously provided on an upper part of the pipe part 11, and is provided on an abdominal wall via the pipe part 11. The trocar further includes a hinge mechanism 31 provided at a tip end of the pipe part 11, and a puncture cap 32 with a sharp tip end, provided so as to open/close an end face opening of the pipe part 11 via the hinge mechanism 31. With an operation of inserting forceps 4 into the pipe part 11, the puncture cap 32 is opened. With the operation of gradually extracting the trocar 1, the puncture cap 32 is closed.
