PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image display device and display method, capable of displaying a posterior image including the image of a blind area if the blind area is generated while an anterior image is displayed.

SOLUTION: The medical image display device includes: an anterior image generating part for generating an anterior image included in a visual field in the anterior direction from a first view point set within a tubular structure based on voxels constituting the image of the inner wall of the tubular structure a posterior image generating part for generating a posterior image included in a visual field in the posterior direction from a second view point set within the tubular structure based on voxels constituting the image of the inner wall of the tubular structure a display part and a display control part for displaying the posterior image including the image of the blind area in place of the anterior image, or together with the anterior image in the display part if the blind area, invisible from the visual field in the anterior direction, is generated in displaying the anterior image from the first view point.
