PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display or pick up an excellent image.SOLUTION: An optical scanner for displaying or picking up an image includes: an optical scanning part for performing scanning such that outgoing light draws a spiral trajectory, wherein the optical scanning part has a light guide path for guiding light made incident to emit the outgoing light from an emission end, and a vibration part for vibrating the emission end； a light emission control part for controlling the emission of the outgoing light； a polar coordinate generation part for generating a radius and a deflection angle about the spiral trajectory； a drive signal generation part for using the radius and the deflection angle to generate a drive signal for driving the vibration part； an angle correction part for performs calculation for correcting an angle on the basis of information from the drive signal generation part to output the angle as a corrected angle； and a coordinate calculation part for calculating coordinates of an image by using the corrected angle to output the coordinates as image coordinates.
