This catheter 100 is characterized by comprising: a catheter body 10 having an inner resin layer 11, a reinforcing metallic wire 12 which is disposed on the outer periphery of the inner resin layer, and an outer resin layer 13 which covers the outer periphery of the reinforcing metallic wire； and a front end section 50 formed at the distal end of the catheter body, a cylindrically formed resin mesh 30 being disposed straddling the catheter body and the front end section.
