PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of restraining the body surface from getting wet or soiled and preventing a leakage of urine or excrement to the outside even when the urine or excrement moves to the upper side of the absorbent article.SOLUTION: An absorbent article includes a sheet-like leakage preventive body 10 having a bottom face part 12, and a pair of side parts 14 rising upward from both right and left sides of the bottom face part and projecting inward, and forming an internal space S by the bottom face part and the pair of side parts and an absorber 20 arranged in at least one layer in the internal space, and containing high water absorbing resin to absorb a body fluid.
